Staff and Parish Office
Alison Kent has been the appointed Parish Clerk since 2005 and is the Proper Officer for the overall management and operation of the Parish Council. The role of the Clerk is to ensure that the Council as a whole conducts its business properly and to provide independent, objective, professional advice and support. She is also the Responsible Financial Officer, which is a statutory role, ensuring the implementation of and compliance with the Council’s financial regulations.
The Parish Council employs a local couple to pick up litter on weekends. They have a regular route which covers Parish Council owned land, such as the play areas and green spaces.
The Parish Office is an extended part of the Bouverie Hall on Goddard Road. This is where the majority of the Parish Council meetings take place and where the Clerk works from throughout the week. The office is open to the public on a Tuesday morning between 9.30am and 11.30am. Other times can be arranged by appointment. Alternatively, you can contact the clerk by email or telephone 01672 562014.
